As I look at my Zoe girl I cannot imagine saying goodbye on a normal day going to school and it being the last time I would see her. I cannot stop thinking about the parents of the victims and how they must feel about their last goodbye. Did they have a rough morning with their kids, as we all do? Did they have a good breakfast? Did their kids talk about what they were going to do after school? Did they get to hug them and say I love you one last time?
These are the things I’ve been thinking about these past couple of weeks and that have compelled me to do something to help in any way I can.
As a parent, we try our best to protect our kids, we work hard to be the providers and we dream of what the future holds for them and how we can do better. I’m choosing to do my part by creating a small gesture that will shine a light on someone while keeping Uvalde angels in our thoughts and prayers.
